Defendify Shares Ins and Outs and Ups and Downs of Fast Growth Startup Life at ‘TrepCamp Boston

Co-Founders provide real-world insight to exclusive group of 53 international entrepreneurs.

PORTLAND, Maine, Aug. 15, 2018 – After hearing about Defendify’s mission to make cybersecurity possible for Small Business and the company’s rapid startup growth, Program Instructor Chris Dube eagerly invited Co-Founders Andrew Rinaldi and Rob Simopoulos to tell their story to 53 aspiring international entrepreneurs at this year’s ‘TrepCamp Boston.

Andrew and Rob were quick to accept, welcoming opportunities to give back and help other entrepreneurs by sharing the trials and tribulations of their own journey. The session covered the ins and outs of startup fundraising and the ups and downs of first year business growth. Andrew and Rob took the group through a 90-minute presentation that started and ended with images of a roller coaster. Co-Founder Andrew Rinaldi shared, “There isn’t any better way to describe the process, it’s like a nonstop roller coaster ride with high highs, low lows and lots of pivots along the way.” Like they often do for each other, Co-Founder Rob Simopoulos finished the thought, “You have to expect the unexpected. Things change and move very fast. There’s no getting around it, it sure is a lot of work. But it’s an amazing rush and you absolutely have to enjoy every part of the ride!”

The message was well received, many of the participants sharing post-presentation thanks to the Defendify Co-Founders for providing a real-world case study candidly detailing the realities of the often-challenging startup process. Following the session, ‘TrepCamp Boston Program Administrator, Francisco Millaruelo, emailed Andrew to share, “Many of our participants made a point of telling me how impressed they were by you and Rob.
